Adding YouTube Videos

YouTube videos work really well on LearnPad and you can link straight to the page for that video. However, YouTube comments (which appear underneath the videos) are not moderated and are often inappropriate for the classroom. We recommend changing your YouTube links to the embedded version, which is full-screen and comment free.

When a YouTube video finishes, the viewer is usually shown "Related Videos". These can also be disruptive in a classroom environment, but they can be disabled by adding ?rel=0 to the end of the embedded video address. More options can be found in YouTube's support section.

Example

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGpsVmWLRFA

....becomes....

http://www.youtube.com/embed/xGpsVmWLRFA?rel=0

...then you can add this modified link as a web page resource.
